The art of letting go!

Often enough we heard people say "let go, let go"; but what does it really mean to you? Today I chat with a gentleman, i used to have the mindset that "hmm, i can't understand his english" but today i tell myself i must concerntrade and do not let "language" to be the barrier of our communications.

we talk about "let go", and when he tell me about how and why he is letting go such and such emotions/actions/state of heart; I keep asking myself "at what stage you will know you already let go?" "how do you know you didn't let go?" and so I throw this out and we discuss about it...

Senario A: you had a fight with your wife and you tell youself you must let go, not angry or upset next time.

so: does it mean you let go at this stage or does it mean when the similar situations arise again and you do not re-act upon it, that show you already let go?

Senario B: you had a fight with your wife and you tell youself you must let go and not angry or upset next time.

so: does it mean when the same situations arise next time, you will still be angry but the level of you angre-ness is not as high as the first time. Does that show that you already start letting go?

On my way back, I throw this to D and he said this questions is so subjective and no definite answer. !????!??!!! what an answer!! remind me of my law lecturer, she once told us that in Law, there's no definite answer and you should always remember a word and keep that in your higher ranking vocaburarly, and that word is "IT DEPENDS!!!"
